.A family in Copenhagen, Denmark has some outdoor space blues.

We are currently looking at their front yard and a new main entry piece. An existing deck is wanting to disappear altogether, a new one added off the kitchen / dining area, and then an idea of digging out, and extending their existing basement level to the outdoors, into a sunken patio kind of thing (in place of existing deck).

How these pieces connect, talk to each other, become part of the house language while having a modern language of their own, all while addressing a desire for privacy at the same time is the problem at hand.
