The site for this project has a history as an old camp and party spot for some of the early windsurf crowd in Hood River. Working with the the natural contours of the site, and taking cues from the scattering of makeshift camping structures that adorned the area, the residence aims to bring a camp like feel to the grounds.

Using these inherent ques from the site and it's history, the design breaks down the individual parts of the house into smaller "camp" buildings, the new structure treads as light as possible on the undulating landscape, while making a big house look small. The main body of the house is nestled up to the edge of natural depression on the site, that offers wonderful views into the woods and peek views to the river.

Currently under construction, estimate completion first quarter 2017.
